Ko Bronwen Davies toku ingoa. Ko Ngati Porou me Te Whanau A Kai toku iwi.
Bronwen (Bron) started with Riversun in September 2023. The move to Gisborne is a return home for Bron who spent her childhood years at Ngatapa before her family moved to Auckland.
Bron’s human resources career has included the public health sector, Carter Holt Harvey and Fletcher Building.
For Bron, there is huge value in getting involved in frontline activities for gaining a true understanding of the business. "Helping out on the grafting line in our processing shed and spending time with the kaimahi helps to develop multiple perspectives of the business, which feed into a well-rounded HR plan focused on building capability and meeting customer needs."
"One of the great things about Riversun is the whanaungatanga, reflected in our value of Stronger Together – One Waka, One Team, One Destination. The kinship extends to activities coordinated by the Wellness Committee – reflecting another Riversun value of Bring the Joy – whether this an ocean dip as the sun breaches the horizon or a group climb to the top of Kaiti Hill. These activities help to form connections and this is reflected when people step in to help out wherever help is needed, or share their considerable database of knowledge - and it’s all done with a smile."
Outside of work, Bron spends her with whanau, walking (or being walked by) her two dogs, and reading. Holidays are spent at Aotea Great Barrier Island, enjoying beach and fishing time with friends and family.
